Low Fidelity Wireframes
The lo-fi wireframes were crucial in outlining the website's structure and defining the key pages (Home, Publications, Contact). The goal was to:

Medium Fidelity Wireframes
The medium-fidelity wireframes integrate the established style guide, offering a more detailed representation of the layout and preparing it for code implementation.
Database
This step focuses on building a structured database to store and manage the site’s product information. This involves organizing product details, categories, price, designer, images, etc, to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
Code Implementation
CSS
Code implementation was the main focus of this project. The first step of implementation was creating necessary pages for the site and a CSS styleguide that define elements like cards, buttons, forms, font families, and gridsystem. This step established a consistent design framework, enhancing both visual appeal and usability across the site.
PHP & MySQL
This stage includes connecting the database using PHP and MySQL functions, developing cart logics, creating an admin page for product editing, and integrating JavaScript to improve user interactions.
key takeaways
This project provided valuable insights into bridging brand identity with UI design while addressing current market demands for exclusive and artisanal products. One of the most exciting aspects was translating Chichaus’ brand essence into an engaging and visually appealing interface that resonates with customers and reflects the brand's unique personality.
Through this coding project, I deepened my understanding of MySQL functions and cart logic, exploring solutions for managing complex data structures. The use of a database proved essential for efficiently storing and updating large volumes of data, making it particularly valuable for scaling e-commerce platforms. While challenging, the process was both insightful and rewarding, successfully combining technical functionality with creative design.
